WidgetWise app released

WidgetWise has officially been released on the AppStore

The app took some big turns to get to where it is, but in the end it was well worth the effort to make the changes as I feel that the app is intuitive and flexible enough to accommodate a variety of use cases.

Using the weakness as a strenth

Consumer Affairs research shows that, “As of 2024, on average, cellphone users look at their phones 205 times a day.”

Why not make this habit an opportunity for learning? This is where the strength of WidgetWise lives. When information that is important to you lives on your Home Screen, you do not need to go looking for it, you can simply be exposed to it and have it begin to stick to your mind.

My focus while building WidgetWise was practical and impactful convenience. This led to important structural decisions around making each widget capable of displaying multiple types of data, each with its own optimized layout. It also lead to me integrating AI in a manner that isn’t hype, it provides actual value by making disovering and adding content to your widgets easily.

I will go further into how the app was developed in subsequent posts, for now it is time to celebrate the release!
